Course Outline:
Chapter 1: Organisation Units & Positions
This chapter of the course will show participants how to create and structure line, matrix and project organisation units. This chapter will also explain how to create job and role type positions for the three types of organisation units that are available for use in the Human Resource Manager module (HRM).
Chapter 2: Employee Administration
This chapter explains to participants how to setup and manage company employee information. The employee information that can be maintained by the HRM can include both professional and personal information. This chapter will also detail to participants how to run periodic jobs such as loaning company property of assets to employees.
Chapter 3: Recruitment
This chapter will demonstrate to participants how to create and manage recruitment projects in the HRM module. This chapter will show the participants how to manage various information in regards to a recruitment project including: media used in the project, receive and manage information about potential employees and store applicant’s resumes.
Chapter 4: Managing Absence
This chapter will explain how the HRM module can help an organisation manage employee absences and allows the registering and approving of all absences.
Chapter 5: Managing Skills
This chapter will explain to participants how an organisation can record the current skills that employees posses and then how to also record the skills that employees need to acquire.
Chapter 6: Employee Development
This chapter concentrates on the various activities involved with the development of employees including: managing appraisal interviews and development plans. Along with development plans this module also allows organisations to provide development tracks for their staff.
Chapter 7: Managing Training
This chapter provides participants with the ability to manage all the activities which are associated with running training session internally. Details that can be stored regarding training include: location for the training, the trainer details, allows participants to register to complete a course and the ability to track the status of participants throughout the life cycle of the course.
Chapter 8: Employee Services
This chapter introduces to participants the concept of using Employee Services on the Enterprise Portal. This section will also explain how administrators can setup and manage user portal roles for Enterprise Portal.
