On January 22nd Microsoft announced the decision to consolidate Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 (PPS) Monitoring and Analytics into Microsoft Office SharePoint server (Enterprise).  PerformancePoint Server enables interactive dashboards, and scorecard solutions directly from within Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. PerformancePoint Server is balanced scorecard certified, enabling you create and manage key performance indicators, provides rich web-based guided analytics, and aggregates information from multiple sources into meaningful, actionable dashboards.

Alongside this Microsoft annouced the Planning module of PerformancePoint will be discontinued.
